Our team is proud to call Seattle, Washington home. Devin Miller - CEO 

Devin Miller is an experienced entrepreneur primarily focusing on product development, consumer marketing, enterprise sales and business management.  Devin was a co-founder of Balance and has overseen development of our proprietary electronic bill payment and presentment (EBPP) platform.  During the last 3 years as CEO of Balance, Devin has led the growth of the company to profitability and its establishment as a market leader.  Devin’s experience most recently includes serving as Head of Product Management at Finsphere Corp. where he was responsible for the PinPoint product from conception through commercial consumer launch.  Devin has several  patents pending primarily related to the use of analytics in financial services. 

Bassam Saliba - CTO 

Bassam Saliba is an experienced executive with over 20 years in the software industry leading the design and development of large-scale, complex, mission-critical systems. Bassam sits on the board of several technology startups, in addition to his role as the CEO of Equiom, a software consultancy firm with over 70 technology professionals. Prior, Bassam was the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Fidesic, where he pioneered an electronic invoice presentment and payments (EIPP) platform. Before Fidesic, he spent 10 years at Microsoft in various roles including the Group Manager for TransPoint, an ePayments venture between Microsoft, Citibank, and First Data Corporation. Bassam holds 8 issued ePayment-related patents.

John Yii - CIO

John Yii is a security, risk management, and technology leader with 18 years experience in the software industry. He is also a principal at Equiom, a leading consulting and technology incubation firm. Prior to his role at Balance Financial, John was the Director of Operations and Group Program Manager for Fidesic Corporation where he led the design, development, and deployment of its SAS70 compliant electronic invoice presentment and payment (EIPP) service. John also spent over 10 years at Microsoft where he managed engineering projects for Windows XP, MSN Money Central, Microsoft Passport, and MSN Data warehouse. John is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).

Rebecca Miller - Founder

Rebecca is one of the original founders of Balance.  She left a successful career in financial planning to start Balance. Rebecca believed that she could better serve her clients long term financial interests by providing daily oversight and guidance of her clients daily finances.  Rebecca has a broad background in long term financial planning, financial service operations and entrepreneurship.  At Balance, Rebecca continues to be deeply involved in the long term vision of the company, quality control, auditing and financial oversight.  She is a graduate of the University of Washington and enjoys her time as a mother of two small but energetic girls. 

David Haner - Sr. Director of Engineering

David has been a critical member of our technical team leading several key software builds at Balance since 2010.  David manages our development schedule and works closely with our product team to develop new systems and capabilties for Balance clients.  David has a deep history in technology development dating back to his time at Microsoft as a Software Design Engineer.  Over the last 15 years David has held senior engineering positions within financial technology, enterprise software development , commercial banking and payments. 

Trevor Honsberger - Director of Services

Trevor is our Director of Services. Trevor leads our staff on the everyday commitment of world class service for our clients and ensures the Balance team delivers the product we’ve promised to offer.  As the lead of our service team, Trevor is an integral part in all customer relations.  Trevor is a graduate of the University of Washington and native of Seattle. 

Andrew Buhrmann - Director of Operations

Andrew is our Director of Operations. Operations for Balance means; security, compliance and new partner relations.  Balance continues to grow every day and relies on Andrew keeping the business ahead of industry standards.  His top priority is to ensure that Trevor and his team can dedicate all their attention to servicing clients.  Andrew is a graduate of the University of Washington and one of the earliest employees at Balance.
